Memory Quilt Preparation

Please use the following as a checklist to prepare your memory quilt materials to be submitted:

 

Remember: please make sure that all materials to be used in the memory quilt have been cleaned.

T-shirts

• For the best results, make sure all t-shirts are free of holes.

• Please indicate all t-shirt emblems that should be used in the quilt.  If there are designs on the front and back, indicate which ones should be used.  If there are sleeve emblems, note if those should be included.

• If you have more than the number of t-shirt sides included in your quote, please indicate if some smaller emblems may be combined into one block.  Otherwise, make sure to note which shirts are optional.

Other clothing/material

• For best results, make sure clothing is free of holes.

• Please clearly indicate any features of a particular piece of clothing that should be included in the final quilt.  If items are not identified, I will assume that the materials are to be used strictly to make patchwork pieces for the quilt.

• I am able to work with many different kinds of materials, however, please avoid sweatshirts or heavy jackets as the added bulk is hard on the longarm.

• Similarly, materials for one quilt should be close to equal in thickness.  Heavy denim and light cotton dress shirts in the same quilt are much harder to work with, and the quoted price will reflect that.
