Creating in Community Makers' Retreat

Are you a motivated creator, but can’t find the time or space to get your projects done? Do you start projects, but wish you had some other creative minds to bounce ideas around or share techniques? Escape your everyday responsibilities for a weekend of uninterrupted time to gather, share, and create with other makers of all sorts!  It is a perfect opportunity to get together with your creative friends, even if you don’t have the same creative passions! Practice your craft, spark fresh ideas, be inspired by your surroundings, and connect with a community of fellow creators.  

OPTIONAL SPECIAL ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND:

• Friday, Apr. 24 - group "field trip" to local fabric & crafts stores

• Saturday, Apr. 25 - Natural Fiber Dyeing Workshop (no charge for workshop, small charge for supplies)

• Saturday, Apr. 25 - Sewing Machine Spa Treatment (if enough interest), separate fee payable directly to provider

After you register for the retreat you will receive a questionnaire to gauge interest in these activities and provide additional details.

ADDITIONAL EVENT DETAILS:

• Accommodations will typically be for two people per room. If you have a group of friends that would like to room together, arrangements can be made for 3 or 4 person groups. Add a note with the request when registering, or reach out to me and we'll make sure to get your roommate request coordinated.

• Bathroom arrangements vary, but each room has an individual sink. Showers & toilets are shared with one other room (Jack & Jill style)

• Ample individual workspace for each person (each person has a 2ft x 6ft table)

• Workroom has loads of natural light!

• Delicious meals prepared for you - no cooking & no cleanup

• Resources provided include ironing stations, cutting stations, a heat press, & design wall

• Beautiful natural environment for taking breaks

• Work space is in a separate building from sleeping accommodations.

• Option to attend three or four days.

• Three days, Friday to Sunday, Apr. 24-26 - $325

• Four days, Thursday to Sunday, Apr. 23-26 - $440
